I i'm truly humbled by the possibility to serve. I explained to my brothers who are not in the military about it position, and one of which took the liberty associated with researching the position. This individual called and laughed and said of all the things that get along with this position. He explained the responsibility and the heavy weight that depends on the shoulders of the regimental demand sergeant major and explained, "You will be 16!"
"You will be the 16th Engineer University command sergeant major," he told me. Instantly it hit me i always will be standing on shoulders of 15 giants who held this situation before me. Immediately, an overwhelming feeling minted me that I are going to have some huge shoes or boots to fill. I believe that I am up to the position, and I will do the very best for this brilliant Regiment. I want to be grateful for Command Sergeant Major John Wells for what he has done for the particular Regiment, and I hope him the best of good luck in his new placement as the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence command sergeant major.
Just a quick synopsis of in which I have served inside the military: I was given birth to in Amarillo,red bottom shoes designer, Texas, upon 29 June 1965. My own deployments include Reforger 1987; Surgical procedures Desert Shield along with Desert Storm; a few deployments to Operation Wilderness Spring in Kuwait; one year as data noncommissioned policeman and noncommissioned officer the leader at the Bosnia Herzegovina Mine Motion Center; mission training team to Chad, The african continent; Foal Eagle 1998, Republic connected with Korea; Operation Iraqi Flexibility 1, 06-08, and 09-10; along with Operation New Dawning, Iraq.
Since I registered the military, I have got done many different items. However, this is not about me; it is about something bigger. In the future, this Regiment will certainly move farther ahead with new attempts and ideas that will make this stronger. This summer, we'll also say so long to the Watsons, who have definitely placed their kisses and souls straight into our Regiment. Brigadier Common Bryan Watson will move on to another position and release in support of Operation Lasting Freedom. We will delightful a new commandant, Brigadier General Level Yenter and his family, a further strong and really dedicated engineer Household who aspire to bring this Regiment to even greater heights.
Again, I thank God and everybody in the Regiment for the trust and confidence in me to get this done job; and I look ahead to seeing Sappers during my travels.
